Rooms were very nice and comfortable. We asked for some bedding for the pullout and staff brought them right up to the room. Hot tub wasn't working which was a bummer but it was nice talking a dip in the pool. We will use the parking garage next door that is $10/per day instead of the $30 for valet at the hotel.

We decided to visit the Springhill Suites by Marriott Savannah Downtown/Historic District hotel for Memorial Day weekend because we've stayed at many Marriott hotels in the past and enjoyed them. But little did we know, that the hotel room would be one of the worst we've ever stayed in. You should know that I'm not the type of person to review things, but I feel like this place deserved one. First of all, the door to the shower doesn't stay closed. It will slide open unless you stuff a shoe under the door. In addition to this, the door will easily pinch your fingers. The rooms only have one TV (in the most awkward and inconvenient spot ever), which was a problem for my family of five to share. Also, the bathrooms have the worlds smallest appliances and the lights are very dim. In addition to this, there are two bathrooms but only one trash can in the whole hotel room. The sofa was ripped and we were not provided with any bedding or pillows for the sofa bed either. The bed sheets had a blood stain on them which was mildly unsettling. The street outside of our room was very busy and loud and the sink in the bathroom made a concerning and extremely noisy rumbling sound when you turned on the hot water. If you decide to stay here despite my warnings, I advise you not to stay on the second floor near the street. When we came down for breakfast at nine o clock, everything was almost out and the only choice for cereal was Chex. The dining situation was mediocre at best and there were no tables available. We were here on a hot weekend and we're disappointed to find out that the pool was closed. They didn't even have the decency to spell inconvenience correctly on the sign. When we got into an elevator, the floor was soaked which is a serious slipping hazard. The parking situation wasn't great either. They wanted you to pay thirty dollars a night for valet parking, which seemed to be the only parking option. We had to park about five blocks away in a parking garage and walk with our luggage to avoid paying the fee. Overall the staff were pretty nice and accommodating and the location of the hotel was pretty good, but the highlight of this hotel was definitely the endless bowl of lollipops at the front desk.

Spring hills are usually nice. This one was okay. The king room is large and spacious with plenty of room. Checking in was easy. The elevators take FOREVER and it’s much quicker to just take the stairs anywhere on the property. The room was mostly clean when arrived except for the child’s finger prints on mirrors and shower door. There was a used Kleenex in the window, too. King mattress is comfortable but the pillows were terrible! Many of the outlets in the room were not working. The gym is large but heavy on the cardio side and nothing to offer on weight training except for a small dumbbell collection. The breakfast was GREAT considering it’s free. We looked forward to it each morning. I did have to get something out of car in the basement garage and oh my.. my throat closed up down there due to the mildew and mold. This makes me wonder about the rest of the building… nonetheless, this was fine for a 2 night 3 days stay. Just keep your expectations realistic. The staff was very kind.

Besides the price being incredibly high ($500) for this weekend (4/23), I have no complaints. I’ve stayed at this location before and loved it so I tried it again with my family this time and loved it even more. The rooms and restrooms were extremely clean in the room and very spacious. We stayed one night in a king suite with sofa bed. The location is close to everything. It’s perfect and in a safe spot. Valet parking is $30 for the whole stay or you will find a parking garage about 5 minutes in walking distance from the hotel that is $5 to park in. River street is a 15 minute walk from the hotel and everything else closer is about an 8 minute walk. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Location is hard to beat.Only a few blocks from the Savannah riverfront, but not near the price of the Riverfront hotels.A daily breakfast was offered.The coffee was good.The hotel is showing wear and tear.Elevators were slow.It took a while to get hot water on the sixth floor, but it did get hot.The bed was softer than I personally like, but was in decent shape.The staff was super friendly.Front desk, valets, maids, maintenance, etc. would all great us and ask us how our stay was going.There is a concierge on site to help with any siteseeing or dining questions you may have

Uma noite de estadia e tivemos um tempo maravilhoso. A equipe foi super amigável, pronta para ajudar. Precisávamos estender nosso tempo de check-out e eles foram muito flexíveis e não nos deram problemas sobre a necessidade de estender. Arrumação verificado em nós várias vezes. Quarto era bom. One night stay and had a wonderful time. Staff was super friendly, eager to help. We needed to extend our checkout time and they were very flexible and gave us no issues about needing to extend. Housekeeping checked on us several times. Room was nice. Breakfast was very reasonable, several choices and the girl running it was staying on top of restocking and keeping everything fresh. Nothing super fancy but very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

My Family and I stayed there this past weekend, December 9 to December 12. I did not really have any complaints about the stay. Housekeeping Never checked on us or anything but in today’s world I don’t really have high expectations for hotels and the service industry in general. So they were still at four stars (for me) until now. I checked out Sunday morning. When I got home I noticed that my work phone was missing. I did not use it much on the trip but I did have it on my possession as I’m a manager for a large air-conditioning company in Florida and someone may have needed to contact me. As soon as I saw that I did not have it, I remembered that it was beside the bed next to the nightstand while I was packing to check out, so I immediately called the hotel. The receptionist was very nice and told me that they did not see it. She then called me back five minutes later and said they did indeed find it. I asked about having it shipped to me and she said I would have to talk to management the next day. They did not call me so I began attempting to call them. I have spoke to very nice people at the front desk but they cannot help me very much.I’ve been asked to get a hold of Leonard Massey, Who is the general managerand also Roberto who is the housekeeping manager. I have left numerous messages between the two. Today one of the front desk clerks asked me to send an email to Leonard and he would get back a hold of me. That was earlier, mid day and I still have not heard anything. By the evidence that I’ve gathered through conversations and what not, I figure that the phone has come up missing or is destroyed and nobody is doing their job in the management side to let me know what’s going on. I can tell you, I will never leave anything in a hotel again and I swear I will never stay at another Marriott. I am totallydisappointed. I’ve never stayed at a Marriott where I did not have an awesome Customer service during the stay and after. This time the stay was OK but After is really Not up to par. I take full responsibility for leaving my cell phone. All I’m asking for is some freaking answers. . If you are staying in Savannah, I would recommend one of the Hilton‘s there. I’ve stayed at several and they’ve always been great. Let the pillow one time and was sent to me and I received it within a couple of days. Actually I spent less time waiting on that pillow than I have waited for a phone call from the housekeeping manager at this point

In the words of google reviews, 2 stars = “OK” and that is about the best I could rate. I stay it a ton of Marriott hotels and this one was just really struggling. I’d probably give it one more star if it was confirmed that the entire staff has an average tenure of a few weeks.The rooms were not totally clean. Nothing totally unacceptable, but the couch was dirty and the shower was pretty gross.The room was not properly stocked with pillows and sheets, and I discovered it as I was putting kids down. Took right at an hour to get the sheets, and then another 15 for the pillows.The staff were totally overwhelmed, or at least that is what I am going with. Otherwise they were just borderline rude. But I think it really was just overwhelmed staff.Valet was on-point, no complaints there.The pool was pretty trashed. The hot tub was green. Maybe that is ok in December, except that my room overlooked it and the whole area was just trashed and looked really gross. It just added to a feeling that the place was not clean or well maintained.In my humble opinion, this location has a fundamental management problem.
