This charming family-friendly hotel was built in 2011 and comprises a total of 122 rooms. From New York LaGuardia International Airport, take Grand Central Parkway West. At exit 35W, take the ramp right to join the I-495 W (Long Island Expressway) towards Midtown Tunnel (Manhattan). After exiting from Midtown Tunnel, take slight right onto E 37th street. Turn left at 5th Avenue and then right at W 31st street to reach the hotel.

“Upon arrival I was greeted very kindly with a slight room upgrade (although the room I was given was still small so I’m curious what the upgrade entailed). Realistic expectations given it is NYC though. My major problem was my room’s heat wasn’t properly working even though they quickly addressed by bringing engineers. I learned to deal with it being a little chilly, yet extremely dry. Bed wasn’t the most comfy and bedding felt bare minimum. But good location and all the necessities.”

“The hotel is pretty average. I wouldn’t bother leaving a review, but figured I would have to let people know one very strange experience. I had to walk down the street at midnight to buy my own shampoo from a nearby grocery store. Apparently the hotel has been without shampoo for two days, but no one bothered to tell me until I went to the front desk near midnight to ask why no shampoo was left in my room. I wasn’t offered anything in return, except to speak with the manager in the morning. How does a $300/night hotel not have any shampoo? Nor any reconciliation to make guests feel better about waking down the street at midnight to buy their own toiletries. Weirdest hotel experience I’ve ever had. I’d honestly have been better off staying at an Airbnb.”
