“This hotel was already struggling to attract customers before the pandemic, due to its age and damper inland location away from the town and beach. After Ecuador reopened, business was even slower, and it could not guarantee a boat excursion for my travel package, but refused to honor its refund or cancellation policies. By its own admission, other customers were also waiting for their refunds via credit card disputes. It claimed no credit card refunds were possible in Ecuador, that they had never done a credit card refund, and offered an installment plan refund by wire--then retracted the offer. After two and a half years, it is still misusing my money as an interest-free microloan. They told me they could not refund my money because they didn't have enough money/business. But I just read that Hilton is buying the property, so they must have been paid money by Hilton.”

“This hotel was amazing. My wife and I stayed here for a week back in 2016. We stayed in one of the villas and it was wonderful. If you want a beautiful and quiet place to enjoy your vacation this is it. It’s about fifteen minutes away from town and the hotel arranged for our day trips around the islands and had a taxi take us down into town and back to the villa every evening. I cannot forget to mention that the meals were amazing and the coffee was great! We can’t wait to take our children back to the Royal Palm when they’re old enough to enjoy the Galapagos!”
