Dreams turns into Nightmare… We have been so excited to our trip to Cozumel but the hotel destroyed our expectations. I strongly encourage you to stay in another hotel! We paid a lot of money and didn’t get the quality and service which we expected.- The food quality is very poor. Food/dishes such as toast, omelettes, pancakes and bananas were not available on many days. - The hotel management was not interested at any time, what made us feel uncomfortable. Even atthe early checkout, no one cared or asked why we are leaving. - We traveled with out 11 months old daughter. The room they offered us was inappropriate room for a baby at that age. The room was changed on the second day. However, we had no room available the whole day! We received the new key cards at 5:30pm, the new room was dirty from the previous owners. Nothing was cleaned here. Again had to wait 2 hours for cleaning. - No baby bath available. We had to get a bathtub ourselves in town (taxi cost for this was $30). - No water heater available. The hotel management required us to make the baby milk as well as food heating with a Nespresso coffee maker. - Not even in the restaurants, was a microwave available too heat up baby food. - Towels, which are needed for the beach visit, are never available. Waiting time usually 30-45 minutes. - The hotel restaurant refuses to prepare meal for our child. Not even pasta or rice was pureed. It was suggested to serve cheese pizza?! - Providing a baby chair in the restaurant took up to 20 minutes on average. - On one day the room service did not work at all. At 3:00 pm our room was still not cleaned. After complaining twice at the front desk, the room was finally cleaned at 7:30pm. Our daughter was very tired and should have been asleep by this time. - In the all-inclusive package, food service to the room is promised. An order was placed at 6:00 pm. The food was not delivered even after several calls. We were already asleep when someone rang the doorbell at 10:00pm with the food. Of course our baby woke up! We specifically pointed out when ordering that we had a baby and not to ring the doorbell. - Very thin walls. When five rooms next door are rung, you think it is ringing in your own room. Noise level from other guests is very loud. Here especially “WE” with a toddler would like to be considerate to other guests, because our daughter wakes up in the night and screams. - On two evenings the doorbell was rung after 9:30 pm (room service) and asked if we needed anything else. Unnecessary and of course this woke our daughter up again. There is absolutely no consideration for families with children. -Most of the stuff (especially in the restaurant/bar area) is nice and tries to do its best. Unfortunately this does not count for everbody working in the resort. Sonhos se transformam em Pesadelo... Foi sugerido servir pizza de queijo?! - A disponibilização de uma cadeira de bebé no restaurante demorava em média 20 minutos. - Em um dia, o serviço de quarto não funcionou. Às 15h, nosso quarto ainda não estava limpo. Depois de reclamar duas vezes na recepção, o quarto foi finalmente limpo às 19h30. Nossa filha estava muito cansada e já deveria estar dormindo. - No regime de tudo incluído é prometido serviço de alimentação ao quarto. Um pedido foi feito às 18h. A comida não foi entregue mesmo após várias ligações. Já estávamos dormindo quando alguém tocou a campainha às 22h com a comida. Claro que nosso bebê acordou! Ressaltamos especificamente ao fazer o pedido que tínhamos um bebê e não tocar a campainha. - Paredes muito finas. Quando cinco quartos ao lado tocam, você pensa que está tocando em seu próprio quarto. O nível de ruído de outros hóspedes é muito alto. Aqui, especialmente “NÓS” com uma criança pequena, gostaríamos de ser atenciosos com os outros hóspedes, porque nossa filha acorda à noite e grita. - Em duas noites a campainha tocou depois das 21h30 (serviço de quarto) e perguntou se precisávamos de mais alguma coisa. Desnecessário e, claro, isso acordou nossa filha novamente. Não há absolutamente nenhuma consideração para famílias com crianças. - A maioria das coisas (especialmente na área do restaurante / bar) é agradável e tenta fazer o seu melhor. Infelizmente, isso não conta para todos que trabalham no resort.

We are UVC members and booked a trip with another couple, who are also members. We booked at Dreams Cozumel 11/29/22-12/8/22. I paid for transfers through amstar as well. We got to the resort late afternoon, found that we were in different buildings although we were told we'd be in the same. The only communication with a UVC rep at check in was to give me a welcome letter. The other couple did not even receive that. We went to eat & it was horrible, absolutely disgusting. We were just going to go to the buffet, but they were basically out of food so we just went to our rooms. While I was in the shower someone came and told us we were being moved to a room next to our friends. The tvs didn't work in any if the rooms. We later found out they switched providers, but never programed the tvs. They never did fully resolve the TV issue. Our friends didn't have air for 3 days, leaks, brown water and mold. We couldn't order room service without going to the front desk. Our new room had black mold, and water leaking down the wall running through the electrical box that they covered with a picture. This happened to be the wall the shower was on. We spent all of 11/30 trying to get resolution. Not one person would help us. We kept being told we had to talk to this person and then they would either hide from us or tells us we needed to talk to someone else. I reached out to GBS and UVC and still wasn't getting anywhere. On 12/1 we continued to try to get some sort of resolution. We wanted to move to a different resort. The UVC reps said the only place available would be $11,000 for the remainder of our trip. We were again moved as were our friends. This time we had the brown water, of course no TV, bathroom was dirty, black mold. Our friends didn't have TV and they woke up in the middle of the night to a leak causing the wife to slip and almost fall. That was the last straw. So on Friday 12/2/22 we went back to the UVC office to get things handled. They again didn't want to help. They told us the manager was not available, but set us up with an appointment to meet with her at 12:30. We came back for our appointment only to be told she wasn't available. So we said we'd sit and wait. In that time we were trying to get someone, anyone to help us. While we were sitting there a woman stood up from the table next to us and got very rude with us, turns out she was the manager and had been sitting there the entire time. They still wouldn't do anything to help us. I found a different resort on the mainland for us to go to. We spent almost 2 hours trying to book it because the internet is so shoty. Finally they let us use a Hotspot and it went right through. We were told at a minimum we'd receive a refund for the nights we didn't sleep there. I have a video of the manager saying so. I went to get our transfer switched so we could get a ride to the ferry but amstar said they couldn't help me there. We had to pay for a cab to the ferry, the ferry, and a cab to the new resort. I also had to book an entirely new transfer for the trip to the airport. Not to mention having to change our flights to the mainland. I was supposed to get a refund for half if the original transfer, but haven't gotten that yet. I've sent numerous emails all with pictures and videos and have not received anything but generic responses. When we signed up with UVC we were told there were different levels of resorts. Zoetry, Secrets and dreams all being the top tier. Not once did anyone tell us there were different levels within each. It was at the UVC office in Cozumel that we were informed this Dreams is one of the least nice. She used the term "rustic". The fact that our safety was compromised should be enough for a refund in itself, but add everything else and there's no question we are entitled to a refund. We paid for two vacations, plus all the extra transportation costs. I am so unhappy with UVC/GBS and expect a resolution ASAP. We definitely regret becoming members.

About good things first - the island is beautiful,the beaches are amazing,the rooms are good and clean, hotel is small but very nice. What is bad from my own experience -Food is not bad but it is only couple options this is the biggest issue,second there is nothing about preferred club like they say! Not too much entertainment , no coffee shop in Dreams facility only in neighborhood hotel (which one is terrible) . Stuff is fine and nice. Sobre as coisas boas primeiro - a ilha é linda, as praias são incríveis, os quartos são bons e limpos, o hotel é pequeno, mas muito bom. O que é ruim por experiência própria - A comida não é ruim, mas são apenas algumas opções, esse é o maior problema, segundo não há nada sobre o clube preferido como dizem! Não há muito entretenimento, nenhum café nas instalações do Dreams apenas no hotel da vizinhança (que é terrível). As coisas são boas e agradáveis.

Aqui a minha experiência no Hotel. Para começar, não acho que seja um típico hotel Dreams, afinal parece à primeira vista que é de categoria inferior e, entendendo melhor essa valorização, é porque originalmente era o Sunscape.Elevadores muito ruins e até me atrevo a dizer inseguros, na torre do quarto 3657 quando passei pelo 3º andar parecia que quase parou e até que aconteceu... meu bebê de dois anos com meu familiar ficou preso , ninguém do hotel percebeu e tive que pedir ajuda. Depois disso, o equipamento parou por 2 dias sem que ninguém tivesse a gentileza de nos avisar. E então eu no Quinto AndarA comida é média, estou surpreso que foi melhor no sunscape, percebi no último dia e preferi comer lá.Beba o mesmo, os melhores coquetéis preparados no sunscapeA equipe é muito atenciosa e prestativa, exceto em uma ocasião em que pedi para limpar o chão porque o clima da sala não funcionava bem quando você o colocava acima de 22 graus C. Todo o ar se condensava e molhava o chão.O processo de check-out é muito indiferente, a pessoa não se importou com a nossa experiência e deixou isso por escrito em sua pesquisa. Concluindo, não vale o preço.

Es un hotel pequeño pero cómodo, la comida es regular, el servicio de los restaurantes es lento y tienes que esperar hasta 40 min para acceder. En concreto buscaría más opciones para hospedarme si regresará a Cozumel.

Aquí mi experiencia en el Hotel. Para empezar no creo que sea un hotel típico de Dreams resulta que parece de primer instancia que es de menor categoría y entendiendo mejor esta apreciaciónes porque originalmente era el Sunscape.Muy malos elevadores e incluso me atrevo a decir que inseguros, en la torre de la habitación 3657 cuando pasaba por el piso 3 se sentía que casi se paraba y hasta que sucedió.. mi bebé de dos años con mi familiar se quedaron atorados, nadie del hotel se dio cuenta y tuve que yo pedir ayuda. Después de esto, 2 días duró el equipo parado sin nadie tuviera la cortesía de avisar. Y luego yo en Quinto PisoLa comida regular, me sorprende que en sunscape estuviera mejor, me di cuenta el último día y preferí comer ahí.Bebidas igual, la coctelería mejor preparada en sunscapeEl personal muy atento y muy servicial a excepción de una ocasión que pedí que limpiaran el piso porque el clima de la habitación no funcionaba correctamente cuando lo ponías arriba de 22gradios C. Se Condensaba todo el aire y hacia que el piso se mojara.El proceso de Check out muy indiferente, la persona no se preocupó por nuestra experiencia y esto mismo lo deje por escrito en su encuesta. En conclusión no vale su precio.

Having stayed at many AM Resorts this resort was missing many amenities, no preferred pool, no coffee shop, no real preferred lounge, no real concierge service,no shops at this resort, also the buffet was closed every other day for dinner.. The food was edible at best, the restaurants if they were open had a very limited selection. The bars closed early, little or no seating. The restaurants and bars were very understaffed. The two resorts next door were available to use there amenities but they were lacking also and a fair distance to walk. Catching the lone shuttle cart was rare. La comida sumamente mala y sin sabor , la alberca helada , las bebidas preparadas con jugos de naranja y limon artificiales saben pésimo , muy poca variedad de comida y restaurantes , servicio promedio y se escucha todo entre las habitaciones. Rescatable el diseño, tamaño de las habitaciones y el servicio de los bell boy.

Amazing experience. Loved it. The whole team there does amazing work - Zayra was phenomenal at getting us hyped up for activities and games!! Geidi is a great front desk worker who's always willing to help! Experiência incrível. Amei. Toda a equipe faz um trabalho incrível - Zayra foi fenomenal em nos animar para atividades e jogos! Geidi é uma ótima recepcionista que está sempre disposta a ajudar!

O hotel é novo, e agora a rede pertence ao Hyatt. É um mini-resort de relaxamento, pensado para famílias com crianças pequenas já que as atividades de animação terminam às 22h, mas está muito bem localizado, o mar que partilha com Secrets e Sunscape não tem comparação. Os restaurantes deles me pareceram muito bons, mas prefiro tomar café da manhã no Sunscape's Market Café, que é maior e não precisa fazer tanta fila. Os quartos são todos muito parecidos, as principais diferenças são os acessórios como o alto-falante Bluetooth, a vista, as camas e se tem piscina privativa. O que não gostei foi que nos quartos conjugados não há privacidade e às vezes o serviço é muito lento.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary trip. It was a great experience with a lot of potential! We knew that the resort would be knew and figuring itself out a little, but we were very surprised by how well they've been getting things going! Armando at Anatto and Olio was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure our time went well!All of the staff is fantastic, but some others that we loved: Vicky and Wendy on the beach, Luis at World Cafe, and Enrique at World Cafe.Pro tip: bring Damp Rid :)We loved having access to snorkeling (obviously), but one of the best aspects was that we could go to both Secrets and Sunscape for food, drinks, and activities. Sabíamos que o resort seria conhecido e se descobrindo um pouco, mas ficamos muito surpresos com o quão bem eles estão fazendo as coisas! Armando no Anatto e Olio foi fantástico. El hotel es nuevo, y ahora la cadena pertenece a Hyatt. Es un mini resort de descanso, pensado para familias con niños pequeños ya que las actividades de entretenimiento terminan a las 10 pm, pero está muy bien ubicado, el mar que comparte con Secrets y Sunscape no tiene comparación. Sus restaurantes me parecieron muy buenos, pero el desayuno prefiero hacerlo en el Market Café del Sunscape que es más grande y no hay que hacer tanta fila. Las habitaciones son todas muy parecidas, las diferencias principales son los accesorios como la bocina Bluetooth, la vista, las camas y si tiene alberca privada. Lo que no me gustó fue que en las habitaciones conectadas no hay privacidad y que a veces el servicio es muy lento.

Painted furniture .. rusted out hardware .. glass in shower full of stipple ceiling chunks .. handle in shower not anchored .. horrible service .. no alcohol served passed 11pm ..you can def get better for the money much better

We came during their soft opening and they only had one restaurant open at a time, due to the fact that there weren't many guests yet, understandably so. We had a swim out view ocean side and it was well worth every penny.The service was great, everyone said hello and it was just a great experience.The beds were a bit hard but they weren't too bad. The drinks were good, the food was great and overall, We would go back. The ocean was beautiful and my husband snorkeled every day. It's not the best walking beach but I'm not a big walker anyways. I absolutely LOVED the hammocks in the ocean, definitely a top experience on my list. Overall, I'd give 9/10 stars. If you're laid back and don't mind a couple hiccups, you'll enjoy yourselves here..if you have high expectations, not the place for you....yet.. give it some time for them to work out their kinks. As bebidas eram boas, a comida era ótima e, em geral, voltaríamos. O oceano era lindo e meu marido mergulhávamos todos os dias. Não é a melhor praia de caminhada, mas eu não sou um grande caminhante de qualquer maneira. Eu absolutamente AMEI as redes no oceano, definitivamente uma experiência top na minha lista. No geral, eu daria 9/10 estrelas. Se você é descontraído e não se importa com alguns soluços, você vai se divertir aqui. suas dobras. Obrigado por uma estadia maravilhosa!! Nós voltaremos!!

We love our time here. We knew going in that it was still in construction progress but that really didn't damage our experience. We were able to go to the other two resorts next door, they're sister resorts, for food and that was great. We came during their soft opening and they only had one restaurant open at a time, due to the fact that there weren't many guests yet, understandably so. We had a swim out view ocean side and it was well worth every penny. The service was great, everyone said hello and it was just a great experience. The beds were a bit hard but they weren't too bad. The drinks were good, the food was great and overall, We would go back. The ocean was beautiful and my husband snorkeled every day. It's not the best walking beach but I'm not a big walker anyways. I absolutely LOVED the hammocks in the ocean, definitely a top experience on my list. Overall, I'd give 9/10 stars. If you're laid back and don't mind a couple hiccups, you'll enjoy yourselves here..if you have high expectations, not the place for you....yet.. give it some time for them to work out their kinks. Thank you for a wonderful stay!! We will be back!!

You may want to ignore one stars reviews from before - Dreams was not open then, and just opened on Aug 15th. In fact, our group was the first to come there. Not everything was opened yet, only one building finished, rest is still under construction. Four restaurants/buffets are operational, but check their schedule- not all of them open on specific days. Overall our stay was fantastic. Stuff is super friendly and helpful, rooms are huge, clean, have everything you need and more. Karina from reception was great to help us in any way possible, Monse from entertainment team is an absolute ball of energy like energizer bunny. While there you can use facilities of nearby Sunscape and Secrets, but food is much better at Dreams. (However less rocks in the sea at Sunscape beach - just a short 5 mins walk). Beach chairs are more comfortable at Dreams as well. If you can - book the room with ocean view, you will not regret it.Word of caution - never, NEVER book a car in the lobby from “Getaway Car Rental”. Find some other place. We made a mistake to rent there, got a flat tire, and despite the fact that we had “flat tire insurance” - they took $300 from our deposit. Same tire cost half of that everywhere else.You will definitely enjoy your stay there. He was attentive, funny and made sure that we had champagne while we were checking in. He was also helpful when we needed a taxi or had any questions. Checking in, we met with Mily. She was so funny and anytime we needed to clarify anything or just wanted to say hi, was always a friendly face. I'm actually sad I didn't get to say bye to her.As the stay went on, we got to meet the servers and bartenders at the resort. Most notably, we spent a ton of time with Vicki at the pool and ocean. She helped us tweak our Spanish and we got to learn a bit about her as well (she's training to be a bartender). Javier and Alfredo are the jokesters of the group. They are always going to surprise you with a new drink you haven't tried and are all over just a goofy pair that are a blast. They also went as far as to check on us at the pool one night when the pool bar was closed. When one of our guests had an injury, Javier was the first person to make sure he was ok. Angel who helped us not only at dinner one night, but also at the pool bar would let us make up drinks and was always going above and beyond by grabbing things that weren't behind the bar that we had requested. We had 3 servers throughout our stay, Armando, Julio and Alejandro. All 3 would work together to make sure that we were taken care of. If we wanted to sit outside, but dine off of a menu from inside, they were always accommodating. Alejandro was our server at dinner at multiple times and always remembered us and would ask questions to us by name. Armando was clearly very busy one night, but never made us feel like a burden and made sure we had all that we needed. He also genuinely seemed thrilled to see us anytime we were around. Julio Pachecho took care of us for lunch several times and we developed inside jokes with him. He very much loves what he does and it shows. All in all, if I was grading this resort on staff alone, it would be more than 5 stars. They were exceptional and I will miss each one of them after spending a week to get to know them all.The food was something I will crave for a while. I highly recommend the beef pad thai. It also was very quick.The staff that cleaned the rooms was efficient and always did a great job. The only thing on this is that the turn down service happens late. Around 8/9:00. There is also pretty much no sound barrier between the hall and your room. We had an adjoined room with a group we didn't know and every night when they came in at 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning, we heard their door slam, we heard them turning on water, talking, you name it. The final thing to be attentive of, if you are in a new relationship, there is no privacy in the bathroom. The doors are all iced glass and swinging (no locking mechanism) on both the bathroom stall and the door entering the bathroom. The shower is quite large but considering that, has very poor water pressure (and takes time to warm up) from a rainfall shower head and it makes it freezing with showering because the space it covers is minimal.Overall, I highly recommend this resort. Fiz a reserva pela Expedia, ao fazer a reserva coloco a idade do meu filho como 14 anos, no check in querem me cobrar adicional por ele, dizendo que 14 anos é um adulto, quando essa idade é a idade que eu coloque na Expedia ao fazer a reserva. Acho que é algo que eles precisam resolver com a Expedia antes de confirmar uma reserva. Infelizmente, o grande problema é que me venderam um hotel que não está totalmente operacional. Llegue el día 16 de agosto y el hotel está practicante cerrado y vacío. Hice la reserva por medio de expedía, al hacer la reserva pongo la edad de mi hijo como 14 años, en checkin, me quieren cobrar adicional por el, diciendo que 14 años es adulto, cuando esa edad es la yo coloque en Expedia al hacer la reserva. Creo que es algo que tienen que resolver con Expedia antes de confirmar una reserva. Lamentablemente el gran problema es que me vendieron un hotel que no está totalmente operativo. Tienes que pedir diez veces algunas cosas y quizás llegan pero lento. Si quieres variar de menútendrías que ir al Secret y en mi caso no puedo por tener un menor de edad. Sadly my story was even more dramatic than the previous post. Our trip was the end of March. Obviously it didn't open on time way back then and extremely poor communication on booking alternatives. If your an adult only group they would have offered secrets. With our 2 children they offered us sunscape sabor. Which was mediocre at best. We had already bought or airplane tickets long before so figured we would try out other resort. I was told over the phone we had an oceanfront room like our original booking and everything was taken care of, never received confirmation via email nor # when requested it. Over the course of 3-4 months I called either the hotel or the call center every week to try getting answers. Numerous hours wasted and no final answer given. So we like adventure and just showed up. Surprise! They didn't know we were coming and didn't have any room for us, but an extremely basic room in the back of property, my guess used for staff or contract workers. Still paid a lot for this room. Never was offered any kind of credit or apology or free spa credits, i am usually not one to complain and we were using their services which cost money. We still had fun and there are good staff there. However terrible customer service and support. The construction appeared to be at the final stages back in March and location is pretty awesome. We are glutton for punishment apparently because we booked another week in November because we liked the location so much, with the promise of multiple dining options and great snorkeling from the resort. We haven't bought plane tickets yet as the opening comically keeps changing. Jan>May>June >September. Yes it will probably be great and Maybe even a 5 star once it is actually up and running, but sadly it has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Actually and figuratively, sunscape sabor claims numerous dining options. But the reality is there are 2 with the exact same barely palatable options. It's sad as our other AMR(secrets maroma) trips have been great, besides the shameless timeshare pitches. Hope this is helpful my advice is don't book until they are actually up and running.

Yes it is possible to earn 1 star before even opening. I just discovered (via the hotel website) that the hotel opening has been delayed again. My booking is prior to the new opening date. I have not been contacted by the hotel at all to make new arrangements. Two hours of phone call attempts to confirm this have been met with hang ups and confusion. Customer service and communication have been pathetic. Very disappointed!
